Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PriceMoji mobile application ("App") operated by PriceMoji ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area) and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

PriceMoji provides price comparison, barcode scanning, product recognition, price tracking, shopping list management, and community deal-sharing features. The App is available globally and prices displayed are sourced from publicly available data, retail APIs, and user contributions.

3. Account Registration

Some features require an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate registration information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent price information or deals
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the App
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Upload malicious content, spam, or advertisements
• Circumvent subscription limits or security features

5. Community Deals

When you post deals to the community:

• You confirm the deal is genuine to the best of your knowledge
• You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display your post within the App
• We may remove posts that violate these Terms without notice
• Other users may report deals they believe are inaccurate or inappropriate

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by PriceMoji and protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

7. Price Accuracy Disclaimer

Prices displayed in the App are for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of price data. Actual prices at stores may differ due to regional variations, promotions, or stock availability. Always verify the price at the point of purchase.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

If you purchase a subscription:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's account settings
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their respective policies
• Prices are displayed in your local currency as determined by your app store region

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in your jurisdiction:

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for purchasing decisions made based on App data
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence that cannot be waived or limited by contract.

11. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless PriceMoji from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the App.

12. Dispute Resolution

We encourage you to contact us first at support@pricemoji.com to resolve any disputes informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be subject to the laws and courts of your country of residence, unless otherwise required by applicable law. For users in the European Union, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence. Where mandatory local consumer protection laws apply, those laws will take precedence over any conflicting provision in these Terms. We respect and comply with the consumer protection frameworks of all jurisdictions where our users are located.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the App or via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may stop using the App and delete your account.
