PriceMoji ("we", "our", or "us") operates the PriceMoji mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. We are committed to protecting your privacy regardless of where you are located.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information (email address, display name) if you create an account
- Shopping lists and price alerts you create
- Community deals you post
- Support requests and feedback
Information collected automatically:
- Device information (device type, operating system version)
- App usage data (features used, session duration)
- Approximate location (city-level, only if you grant permission, used to show nearby store prices)
- Camera access (only when you actively scan a barcode or product, no images are stored on our servers)

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Most of your data (shopping lists, scan history, preferences) is stored locally on your device. If you create an account, your account data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit and at rest.
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption, access controls, and regular security audits. Our servers may be located in various regions; by using the App, you consent to the transfer of data to these locations, subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Hosting, analytics, and payment providers who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements
- Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights
- Community features: Deals you post publicly are visible to other users (your display name only, never your email)

- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data ("right to be forgotten")

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.
Local data (stored on your device) is deleted when you uninstall the App.

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
10. Third-Party Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites (retailer sites). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies. Third-party services we use include:
- RevenueCat: Subscription management (processes purchase data)
- Google/Apple: In-app purchase processing
- Telegram: Bot integration for price alerts (only if you opt in)
11. Region-Specific Disclosures
European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR): You have the rights described in Section 7 above. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.
California, USA (CCPA/CPRA): California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, email support@pricemoji.com.
Brazil (LGPD): Brazilian users have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and port their data. You may contact us or Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) with concerns.
Other jurisdictions: We respect the privacy laws of all countries where our users are located. If your local law grants you additional rights not listed here, please contact us and we will honour them to the extent required by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
